As you may probably know, magnesium is one of the elements that the body cannot function without. It ensures normal body functioning, especially muscles, nervous system and bones. Lack of this essential mineral mostly causes muscle spasms or cramps, heart arrhythmia, headaches, stress, anxiety and depression. These are the most common magnesium deficiency symptoms among many others, which we will not delve into. While most of these indications may also be related with other health issues, prophylactic magnesium consumption once in a while will definitely not hurt and in most cases turn out for the better.

For many people the quickest way to restore magnesium in a body is by using tablets or pills. They can also eat food abundant in magnesium, but that will take a long time. Instead  people just go to a drugstore and buy pricey food supplements that we will be using for a month or two. Magnesium intake through intestines and abdomen may have side effects (diarrhea) and it’s not the most effective way to absorb this mineral. It takes longer to quickly restore the magnesium norm in the body through food supplements, but it’s a proven and popular way. Another effective, quick and pleasant (at least for young ones) way is through skin, by using concentrated magnesium foot baths.

Magnesium chloride is freely available in every drugstore, besides it is very cheap. What’s more interesting is that magnesium abundance is achieved very quickly just by using simple foot baths or spraying salty water directly on a body, where skin is thinner (abdomen, hips, arms).

So add a pinch of magnesium chloride salt to 1 liter of hot water. You may add more salt and water in order to cover not only your feet but part of your legs. Another method is spraying the salty solution on the body. You should be able to notice the difference after a month of 10 – 15 minutes daily “bathing”. This magnesium therapy method was practiced by Dr. Norman Shealy and the results exceeded expectations, because 75% of his patients reached mineral abundance within a month. It is impossible to accumulate magnesium so quickly just by using food supplements.

 

Studies indicate that lack of magnesium may cause insulin sensitivity which is related to second type of diabetes. Mental illnesses, depression treatment, sleep disorder is closely related with magnesium deficiency. Magnesium alleviates and prevents hypoglycemia and can be used to treat continuous low blood sugar problems.
