Stress: how to fight it

We all come through different stages of stress. Sometimes stress takes hold of us even in early age: school, pre-school years, kindergarten. However, nowadays, we just rush into everything and with everything and stress becomes our companion (compadre) for a very long time. I don't even remember when I went out to my car with kids without any rushing. It's always: "come on, quickly, hurry up, we are going to be late". It seems that with all technology we should be living with lots of time in our hands, but just on the contrary – we just have less and less time for ourselves, our kids, for everything… And stress follows us wherever we go.

I am not even talking about the stress at work…Or should I? I can’t remember a day when there’s nothing happening out of ordinary and you’re doing your tasks without any rushing and busting your a… off to get things done. When you’re 20 – 30 you’re concerned about your results at work, you’re doing your best to make a career, sacrificing your family time, your time with kids, and your free time just to show your boss that you’re “nailing it”. Guess what? You think you’re going to retire at the age of 40? No, you’re still struggling to make big bucks etc. etc…

What about the 40s age? Oh, well, all I can say is that if you’re the head of the department or some kind of head of anything – then you’re in fear of losing your job over those millenials born with Ipads in their hands. Competition in the job market is growing and you’re feeling it once you hit 40. Even if you’re a pretty good specialist, you could be easily replaced by younger ones who are faster, greedier, smarter and not so pricey after all. Stress could kill you and in fact it’s killing many people. The point of this story is you shouldn’t worry too much about things you cannot control. And stress is one thing that you can control by setting your mind on other things. Otherwise, depression will kick in, magnesium level will drop and you will be facing even more health problems. One thing that I do, is eating healthy food full of magnesium, because it seems that this mineral is responsible for keeping your organism protected against stress. You can find many good stuff on youtube about healthy food, as I found some about healthy food with magnesium.
